Congrats to Anthony Gipson for being selected as a Minnesota Football Showcase representative for 2019! Gipson had 113 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and 4 Ints with 3 for TDs!
Maple Grove’s offensive line was at a decided size disadvantage Friday against Minnetonka — by an average of 35 pounds at all but one position — but it didn’t bother Crimson junior Gavin Gourley. “You’ve got to be the ankle-biters on the field. Use your feet (and) get low,” said Gourley, a 215-pound offensive lineman.

The Maple Grove football team will get a home game in the upcoming State Class 6A playoffs. The Crimson are seeded fourth and will host fifth-seeded Minnetonka Friday, Oct. 25. The Crimson finished the regular season with a 4-4 record after losing to No. 6 Champlin Park 31-15 in the regular season finale Oct. 16.
