Natalie has been a part of the swimming community in the Twin Cities for almost 20 years, swimming for various clubs starting in 3rd grade, swimming for Roseville Area High School for 6 years and for one year at Concordia in Moorhead. She finished her time at Concordia earning a Bachelor’s in Chemistry with minors in Psychology and Coaching before moving back to the Twin Cities and going on to earn her teaching license and Masters of Education from Augsburg University. In college she volunteered with the Moorhead Spuds Girls Swim and Dive team and then began as an assistant coach at Highland Park in Saint Paul in 2013. Since 2016 she has been coaching at White Bear Lake as an assistant for both the Girls and Boys teams, transitioning into a co-head coach for Girls and finally taking over the head coach position for Girls. She has coached all levels of athletes including ones who were joining competitive swimming for the first time, to state qualifiers and All-American athletes.
Natalie is married to Nik Strauss and has a son Joseph (3.5) and a baby girl due this month!
She currently teaches secondary science in the district and is excited to continue her coaching career as the Head Coach of Maple Grove Girls Swim and Dive team this Fall!
