The Maple Grove boys’ soccer team improved their record to 3-0-0 after two wins last week.
The Crimson rallied to win at Rogers, a new team to the Northwest Suburban Conference, on Tuesday. Although there was an abundance of Maple Grove pressure and shots on goal, the Crimson found themselves down 2-0 at halftime. Maple Grove came out strong, scoring five minutes into the second half with a series of passes inside the box that ended with junior Levi Dunlap getting the ball to senior JT House to finish the job.
That was the momentum they needed to get themselves back in the game. An outside shot by senior Will Zaver bounced off the crossbar right into the path of Dunlap, who scored off of the rebound to tie the game at 2-2. The half ended without either team scoring and the game went to two five-minute overtimes….
