The Maple Grove girls’ hockey team enters 2019 with an impressive 11-2-1 record, yet Crimson coach Amber Hegland feels her team has the potential to be even better in the second half of the season.

The sixth-ranked Crimson closed 2018 with a 3-2 overtime loss to #6 Eden Prairie and wins over Stillwater and Brainerd in the Walser Holiday Tournament. Both of Maple Grove’s losses are one-goal setbacks against ranked opponents (then #1 Andover and #7 Eden Prairie).
