Multiple Teams · Football: Ends Season With Loss to Eden Prairie in State Semis

The Maple Grove Crimson fell to the Eden Prairie Eagles 26-0 in the Class 6A State Semifinals at U.S. Bank Stadium. 

“I have never been prouder of a team than I am of you,” Head Coach Matt Lombardi told his team following the loss. “Hold your heads high. You gave every ounce.” 

Defensively, the Crimson held their own in the first half allowing just a pair of Antonio Montero field goals after big plays by the Eagles set them up in great position to score, but the Crimson defense was equal to the task in the first half holding Eden Prairie to just field goals…
