Junior running back Evan Hull (pictured above vs Minnetonka) has made quite an impression in his first 4 games for the Crimson. In Friday’s 44-16 win he put an exclamation point on the beginning of his first varsity season with a 24 carry, 239 yard performance. He scored 4 touchdowns, including a 65 yard scamper in which he went untouched. The Crimson offensive line – a mammoth group of upperclassman – moved the line of scrimmage all night, making play calling a breeze for OC and head coach Matt Lombardi. Quarterback Curtis Haugen only attempted 6 passes, completing 3 for 46 yards, while also helping the Darkside control the game.
The Crimson defense was all over the field. Lead by seniors Jake Hanson (11 tackles), Joe Raymon (8 tackles), Justin Stolp (7 tackles), and Ben Pashke (9 tackles), the Blaze were held to 193 yards, much in the 4th quarter when the game had been decided.
