The Crimson Girls Lacrosse team earned a #7 seed in the MSHSL state tournament which begins on Tuesday. The girls are matched up with #2 Prior Lake and are scheduled for a 1:00 pm face off. All state quarterfinal games take place at Minnetonka High School.
The Crimson (13-3) are lead on offense by Emily Herdine, who has scored 20 goals in her last three games, all section victories. Senior goalie Coco Francis brings her hockey skills to the turf and anchors Maple Grove’s defense. Attackers Chloe Corbin and Paige Cassibo can also be counted on for aggressive play on both ends.
From Star Tribune: “The #2 seed in the tournament is Prior Lake, a team that has seen success in the past few years. The Lakers made their first appearance in the tournament two seasons ago, and they’ve been back every year since. In their inaugural state trip, they lost in the quarterfinals. Last year, they lost in the semifinals. The Lakers hope to continue their progression in the tournament this year to have a chance at their first state title.”
