The District 279 Adapted Soccer team (hosted at Park Center) won the State Championship over North Suburban 9-5 this weekend. Crimson students Paige Faber, Jillian Sitarz and Emily Schlegel all play for the two-time champions. The team entered the tournament undefeated, and one of the top seeds in the eight-team field.
The team defeated Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville Friday night 6-5. Paige Faber had 2 assists in the game. On Saturday morning, the team took on undefeated South Washington. The team scored 5 goals in the first 5 minutes of play and cruised to a 14-0 win. Faber had a pair of goals and 4 assists. Emily Schlegel also scored a goal and Jillian Sitarz had an assist. Faber added 2 more assists in the championship game
